GOOD FOR THE PLANET

A player in the wheat, flour and bread industry, and convinced of the changes that need to be made to preserve the environment and perpetuate the trade, Minoterie Bourseau has chosen to take on responsibilities as an agent of change and become involved in the CRC process. To this end, since 2007, all flours for artisanal bakeries have been made with CRC flour.

WHAT IS CRC ?®,
"CONTROLLED RESOURCES AND CROPS"

Striking a balance between two main issues – Product Quality and Environment – is the key to the CRC® process, which is a realistic and competitive form of sustainable farming.
CRC® farming brings together a host of practices which can be summed up in two main aims:

  • Producing healthy, high-quality cereals
  • Respecting the environment and balance of ecosystems.

> It's a guarantee of means and results.

CRC®, GOOD QUALITY FLOUR, TASTY BREAD

The quality of flour and the end product is guaranteed by:

  • Varieties of cereals suited to the terroirs and specificities of the outlets,
  • Demanding physical and technological characteristics (guaranteed protein content, specific weight, Hagberg falling number, etc.)

CRC® FOR GOOD HEALTH
(SANITARY QUALITY OF CEREALS)

Prevention is vital to control contamination risks in agricultural products.
When contaminants are present in or on cereals, it is impossible to eliminate them completely. The CRC® specifications use all of the techniques which prevent the onset of these contaminants.

CRC®: high standards in means and audacious results.

The CRC® specifications demand impeccable sanitary quality verified by a rigorous analysis plan of the different contaminants.
The CRC® specifications require quality of means with an obligation of results, the Application of which is verified on the ground by auditors and controllers of an approved certifying body in the agricultural industry: QUALITÉ France SA

CRC® GOOD FOR THE PLANET

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children" (Saint Exupéry).
Helping to protect the environment is a priority for CRC®. Air, water, fauna, flora and soil are an integrated part of the CRC® guideline.

  • CRC® protects the environment and aims to reduce residues from pesticides, nitrates and heavy metals in soil and water.
  • With a view to protecting the environment, particularly water, CRC® recommends the rational application of preventive or curative measures that favour mechanical and biological interventions, where using pesticides is a last resort for maintaining the healthy condition of plants and their environment.

BIODIVERSITY IS PLACED AT THE HEART OF THE CRC EIG.

It is taken into account in the running of cropping systems and the management of non-productive elements. Concrete voluntary actions adapted to the plot, use/or territory are put in place by the different CRC® cereal producers at all production areas throughout France.
